Find out why you should or shouldn’t blog
By Adele St-Pierre
Blogging can be a great way to engage with customers and inform them about relevant information. In fact, according to a survey done by HubSpot, 60% of businesses that blog obtain more customers. However, obtaining new clients doesn’t come easy and, as a result, may present complications.
Here is a list of some upsides and downsides of blogging for both individuals and businesses.
•Blogging gives you an online presence which can help attract a larger audience
•It’s a free form of PR (Public Relations)
•Starting a blog can help encourage you to stay on top of new trends
•Blogging can help identify your audience and find out what interests them
•At the same time, for businesses, blogging can give customers insights into your product and what can be offered
•Many individual bloggers need to be disciplined and keep up with their blog's content
•It can be hard to find things to write about (requires research)
•Originality can become a challenge when blogging due to so many people blogging about similar subjects.
All in all, anything new can be challenging but it can be a great way to stay connected with trends and/or your clients.
