We live in a world where technology is everywhere. It’s in our homes, on billboards, in malls and even in our own pocket. But that isn’t news. Companies thrive when they are active on social media because their consumers are there and so is their competition. According to fortune.com: “90 % of businesses see increased exposure and more than half report improved sales from social media”.
So that’s all great news, but where can we go from there? Let’s talk about the future of social media, specifically Virtual Reality.
We’ve been hearing that it’s been coming for years and now it’s finally coming to fruition. So how can advertisers use Virtual Reality to their advantage? Now we have the possibility of trying out new things like experiences.
You, as a consumer, now have the opportunity to see what that expensive car looks like in person. See what the interior looks like. Get a feel for it without actually being there. And it’ll be a matter of time before you can smell it too!
Advertisers will have an easier time selling their products because consumers can actually see these products in ‘real life’. VR also allows for the chance to get focus groups all over the world to test your product to see how it does in different parts of the world, without actually having to send them any product.
There are numerous possibilities with Virtual Reality, imagine what you can do!
