With the growing popularity of social media, a lot of people started to question the relevance of old traditional and mainstream media. Some of them even predicting their “death”. Unlike those people, I believe that traditional media will not only survive, but will continue to hold their relevance.
In conclusion, social media and traditional media are both important and dependent on one another in order to succeed. Social media seems to encourage people to seek more traditional media and without traditional media there wouldn’t be any buzz which is what sustains most social media. As long as the demand for original content exists, traditional media will be there to provide it!
Radio continues to be a leading provider of information and entertainment across all demographics.
Print is still really popular for those who prefer tangible media.
