There are many things people consider before they create a social media profile for their audience/target customers. Many people need to conduct a bit of research before they fully produce their profiles. It’s important to make sure they know their audience and whether or not a social media profile will truly be effective and help their organization or business grow.
Some important questions to ask when developing an audience profile are “Will this create an increased amount of sales based on developing this social media profile?” During several occasions, businesses have noticed that they haven’t seen their sales grow at all after utilizing a social media profile. Whether it’s lack of engagement, no use of customer service, or simply that they aren’t active or don’t post enough on the profile, it is important if a business creates a social media profile that they are dedicated, and make it sufficient enough for customers in order to increase sales and profit. If the business can build a better relationship and better interaction levels with their customers and employees on their social media profiles, then they are more likely to become a more influential brand.
Another important question to ask would be “What’s your audience's power level?” It is beneficial for businesses to have individuals in their audience/target market who are influential online and can help them create more of a following and a higher reach on their social media profile. It is important to know what type of person that they are aiming to attract.

Also, businesses should consider, “Will this be too time consuming?” A lot of times, running a social media profile (especially if a business is running several profiles) can be very time consuming if a business or organization doesn’t have a social media department or an individual who runs all of their profiles. It’s very important that a business be active on social media in order to build a relationship with their end users. Businesses need to make sure that, before they develop an audience profile, they’re committed and aware that it takes some time and dedication.
With this being said, I believe that it is very important to think of these three major questions before businesses create a social media profile for their company. It is important that they think of these things and it’s beneficial that they carry out research before they go ahead and decide to make their profile(s). Knowing your audience, your company, and how your audience will react to it is a very effective way to analyze a relationship with your key social media users.
