Balancing school and life is one of the hardest things to do as a student. Not only do you have school, but you also have work and need to keep a healthy social life.
If you’re tired of “burning the midnight oil” then here are some tips to ensure that your school life and your social life don’t suffer:
- Keep a planner or schedule of school and personal life. You can do this by either purchasing a day planner, or just use what any student will be sure to have: a cellphone. The calendar app is great for keeping separate calendars for school and personal activities.
- Get some sleep. Sleeping is one of the major contributors to good mental health and being able to pay attention in class. With school loads becoming more and more packed, sleep is something that is often sacrificed in the name of education. By setting and keeping a consistent period of sleep, you will start to feel more energetic.
- Exercise. Exercising is something that a lot of people dislike doing. Most people couldn’t be bothered getting up at insane times of the day just to get in a workout. This frame of mind however is unfounded. Exercise can be something as simple as walking up a flight of stairs at school or work instead of taking the elevator, or walking or running to get to where you're going.
