How Social Media helps PR Professionals
When it comes to Public Relations, understanding your audience’s attitude and opinions is very important. With the ever-expanding world of social media, it has become easier to understand people's personal thoughts and opinions on pretty much any subject.
Social media helps public relations professionals be more effective by understanding the public’s point of view on certain subject matters; that way public relation professionals can cater to the public’s point of view and attempt to establish a good connection with them so both parties can be satisfied with one another.
A great example would be if a restaurant comes up with a new meal thinking their customers will like it, but on the contrary, customers think negatively about it. With the use of social media, restaurant managers can look into reviews and feedback from the restaurant’s customers. In this case, it would probably be a good idea to get rid of that meal and, by using social media, find out what meals would satisfy their customers.
So I think it's fair to say that social media is the one who controls us.
