We’re in a dire state. There’s nothing worse than when you are with a group of people, trying to tell a story and they’re all looking at their phones. It was a good story too! We value our online identities more than our real identities. Our egos are so inflated nowadays that we value favourites and followers more than a real face to face conversation.
If you go back and ask your parents or grandparents if they ever got into a fight before, 99% of the time they’ll say yes. You ask anyone my age that question, probably less than half will respond with that same answer. Why? Because everyone in this generation is full of cowards. We’re all scared. Scared to take risks and try new things. We are too afraid of being embarrassed. Afraid of getting sub tweeted about, or unfollowed. My point is, we are all running scared. Technology is advancing faster than ever and we as the human race are definitely keeping in the race. Too much so, however.
Sometimes it is necessary to take a few step backs in order to start moving forward again. We need to put down the iPhones and delete our accounts and live in the moment instead of living online.
