Prune juice and peanut butter: no one wants them together.
By Damian Topps
The idea of social media and the workplace is a lot like the idea of prune juice and peanut butter: no one wants them together.
However there are benefits to connecting on a professional level with co-workers, and even superiors. Social media has brought about more convenient ways to connect with and better understand your employees or employer. It’s also great for organizing get-togethers and promotes involvement and teamwork. No matter what your interests, there is always someone who has similar hobbies. Using social media in this way allows co-workers to connect with each other and make new friends.
Our marketing program has a group on Facebook where we can discuss work and solve problems together, as well as plan meetings and get to know each other.
